Tarlac Residents Benefit from Medical, Dental Services
FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija – A total of 1, 940 individuals benefited from an Outreach Program facilitated by the Local Government Unit of Capas together with the Department of Health at Sitio Kalangitan, Brgy. Cut-Cut II, Capas, Tarlac on September 13, 2024.
The Dental Team from Camp O’Donnell Station Hospital, the 3rd Mechanized Infantry (Makatarungan) Battalion, and PNP personnel from Capas Municipal Police Station also participated in the activity wherein they provided medical services such as medical check-ups with free medicines, laboratory services, dental services, optical services, circumcision, Pedia Checkup, Chest X-ray, Maternal cares and free hair cut services.
In his message, Capas Municipal Mayor Roseller B. Rodriguez expressed his gratitude to their partner agencies for the success of the activity.
“Dito nakikita natin ang ating National Government at ang Local Government hindi lamang programa, hindi lamang puro plano, hindi lamang puro salita, hindi lamang puro papel, pinaparamdam ng ating gobyerno ang benipisyo na dapat maibigay sa ating mga kababayan na libre o walang bayad at nagpapasalamat ako sa Regional Department of Health sa kanilang walang sawang pagtulong,” Mayor Rodriguez said.
DOH Undersecretary Dr. Maria Rosario Vergeire emphasized the objective of their programs and services targeting different sectors of communities in the country.
She then lauded the strong collaboration of the government agencies together with law enforcement agencies bridging the services to the people.
“Nagpapasalamat ako sa inyong suporta sa upang maipaabot namin ang mga programa ng gobyerno para sa ating mga mamamayan, kailangan namin ang tulong ng buong ahensya ng gobyerno para maitaas natin ang antas ng kalusugan sa buong Pilipinas,” Dr. Vergeire said.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Ryan V. Villar, the Acting Commanding Officer of the 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion, expressed his gratitude for the partnership and collaboration of the unit and the different agencies for the continuous delivery of services to meet the needs and uplift the welfare of the people, especially in far-flung areas while sustaining the peace and internal security in Area of Operations.
Major General Andrew D. Costelo PA, Commander, 7ID, lauded the continued efforts of the the Tarlac LGU, DOH, and the Army for bringing the basic medical services to the community that fosters unity and camaraderie.
“Kami po sa Hukbong Katihan ay handang makipag-ugnayan at makipagtulongan sa ating mga partner agencies upang maipa-abot ang serbisyo sa ating mga mamamayan lalong lalo na sa mga liblib na lugar,” MGen. Costelo said.
