FORT ANDRES BONIFACIO, Taguig City – The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) held a testimonial parade and review in honor of the Commanding General Lieutenant General Macairog S. Alberto in Fort del Pilar, Baguio City today, December 1.
A member of PMA "Sinagtala" Class of 1986, the 60th Commanding General will bow out of the service on his 56th birthday on December 6, where he will also relinquish his leadership of the 90,000-strong Philippine Army.
The soon-to-retire CGPA also led the unveiling of the Army Laboratory which will be used by cadets who will be joining the biggest branch of the Armed Forces of the Philippines upon their graduation.
"PMA is where my military career started. PMA helped instill in me the values which helped me to become what I am today. It molded me to be the best that i can be and gave me the right attitude to join the Army," said Alberto in his remarks to the cadets.
"Train yourself to become a leader by being a good follower. Taking the hardest job, the most difficult assignment, taking the most challenging task," he added.#
