NPA Bomber surrenders

Among the surrenderees was the trained bomber of the communist armed group, who identified himself as Buloy. The surrenderees brought with them 6 large size improvised bombs, medical equipment, and subversive materials.
Cabunoc said that the influx of surrenderees is the outcome of an effective collaboration between the military and the civil authorities in addressing the social issues that lured the lumads to join the NPA.
“The local government leaders of Sultan Kudarat have pushed the delivery of social services to the remotest areas of the province. The Army has taken the show of good governance as an excellent platform in winning the support of the people against the hard core communists,” said Cabunoc.
At least 30 members of GF 73 have laid down their arms since May 2017, resulting in the waning influence of the CPP-NPA-NDF in the province.
We will continue our efforts to influence the local terrorist to surrender through dialogues and coordination with the local government units and other stakeholders, Major General Dela Vega, said.
