FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City - The Philippine Army joined the nationwide observance of National Human Rights Consciousness Week with the theme "Empowering Humanity: Upholding Dignity, Protecting Rights, and Promoting Peace” that was jibed with the flag-raising ceremony at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
Army Chief Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido led officers and enlisted personnel in reaffirming their commitment to promoting and protecting human rights in every operation or mission.
The reaffirmation aligns with Republic Act No. 9201 which declares December 4 to 10 of every year as National Human Rights Consciousness Week. The event also underscores the Philippine Army’s steadfast commitment efforts to foster a culture of respect, accountability, and integrity within its ranks.
