CGPA receives BrahMos execs in HPA

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila - The Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., received BrahMos Aerospace's top officials led by Director General Mr. Atul Dinkar Rane at the Army’s main headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on the 25th of May 2022.

The Army is set to receive two batteries of Indian-made BrahMos medium-range ramjet supersonic cruise missiles programmed under the Revised Armed Forces of the Philippines Modernization Program’s third horizon (2023 to 2028).

The CGPA, during his meeting with the BrahMos officials, talked on the Philippine Army’s thrust to develop its self-reliant defense posture. The Army Chief also talked about the importance of research in pursuing the said initiative which entails the in-country manufacture of defense materiel.

Lt. Gen. Brawner, in his command guidance “SERVE,” has committed to enhance the capabilities of Army units to further empower them in fulfilling the organization’s core mission of serving the people and securing the land. #
