Infantry Battalion and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) of Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM)and Region 12 apprehended yesterday a couple and 5 individuals for violating the Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The suspect, identified as Albije Biang, netted with his wife and 5 others at Purok Rang-ay, Brgy Poblacion, Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat at around 10 o’clock in the morning.
Seized from the suspects were 5 plastic sachets of white crystals believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride weighing 25 grams, one M4, one .380 caliber pistol, 8 5.56mm magazines, and drug paraphernalia.
The suspects will be charged for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
“The Army is in full support to the PDEA, which is now the lead agency in the government’s war on drugs,” 6ID Commander Major General Arnel Dela Vega said.
