– About 12,900 runners joined the 6th Heroes Run held Sunday, November 26, 2017, in six different locations.The 6th Heroes Run 2017 was held simultaneously in Taguig with 3,000 participants, Iloilo with 1,700 participants, Davao with 2,500 participants, Baguio 2,000 participants, Cebu 2,000 participants, and Naga 1,700.
The top runners for each category received prices. For the Taguig leg, the following runners topped the race:
3KM - Elvrin Neri (Men), Louielyn Pamatian (Women)
5KM – Jamed Opuna (Men), Pfc Ailene Tolentino PA (Women)
10KM - Rowel Galvero (Men), Pfc Jenismyl Mabunga PA (Women)
15KM - Pfc Richard Salano PA (Men), PfcMacroseDichoso PA (Women)
The Heroes Run is an annual fund-raising event which aims to help the families left behind by fallen soldiers or even the injured ones. The chosen beneficiaries this year are AFP EBSO, Heroes Foundation, and the fallen heroes and wounded soldiers during the Marawi rebellion.#
