Army honors shooting team

 

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army honored members of its shooting team, "Manunudla", here today for bringing home medals and ranking third overall during the recently concluded ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (AARM) 2017 held in Singapore from November 6 to 23.

Members of the shooting team were given recognition during the flag raising ceremony led by Brigadier General Gilbert I. Gapay, the Army Chief of Staff.

"Manunudla" won three gold medals, three silver medals, three bronze medals, and a perpetual trophy during the tournament.

The team ranked third overall out of the ten ASEAN members. Indonesia ranked first followed by Thailand in the second place.

The AARM is an annual shooting competition among the armies of 10 ASEAN members namely: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.#
