AFP demilitarizes enemy weapons seized in Marawi City

 

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte (sixth from the left), Defense Secretary Delfin N. Lorenzana (fifth from the left), AFP Chief of Staff General Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero (right), Army Chief Lieutenant General Rolando Joselito D. Bautista (third from the left), Air Force Chief Lieutenant General Galileo Gerard Kintanar, Jr. (second from the left), and DILG Undersecretary Eduardo M. Año inspect the representative units of the six hundred fifty-two (652) CCSR firearms set to be demilitarized.

Representative units of the six hundred fifty-two (652) CCSR firearms consist of Heavy Machine Gun, Light Machine Gun, Squad Automatic Weapon, Rifle Propelled Grenade (RPG) launcher, Sniper Rifles, M16 Rifle, Shotgun and Airgun were destroyed using a road roller vehicle to compress the weapons.

The firearms destroyed using a road roller were then cut into pieces using a metal bond circular saw.
