Army Athletics Team rules PNP run and obstacle race challenge

The Army Athletics Team proved their dominance anew in the local obstacle and running scene after the team hauled nine medals in the Philippine National Police Special Action Forces’ (PNP SAF) Mentors Challenge at the PNP SAF Training Branch, Fort Santo Domingo, Santa Rosa City, Laguna on February 12, 2023.
 
Five Army athletes dominated their respective categories: Captain Alquin R. Bolivar emerged as the champion in the 21-kilometers male category; Sergeant Aris O. Africa ruled the 7-kilometer obstacle race male category; Corporal Jobert S. Carolino ruled the 10-kilometer run male category; Private First Class Albert D. Valencia ruled the 5-kilometer run male category; and Private Marylyn C. Avila ruled the 7-kilometer obstacle race female category.
 
Four Army athletes also registered podium finishes in various categories: Staff Sergeant Andrico S. Mahilum copped second places in both the 5-kilometer run male category and 7-kilometer obstacle race male category; Corporal Rowell G. Hulleza finished at second place in the 21-kilometer run male category; Corporal Mary Anne Crishelle P. Sanchez likewise snagged second place in the 7-kilometer obstacle race female category; and Corporal Eric S. Panique copped third place in the 10-kilometer run male category.
 
Run Mania Philippines Promotions organized the activity which aims to help PNP SAF complete its training facilities. Athletics teams from the PNP, Philippine Marine Corps, Philippine National Police Academy and Philippine Army as well as civilian running and obstacle enthusiasts competed in the said race.
