Philippine Navy Flag Officer in Command (FOIC) Vice Admiral Toribio Adaci, Jr., rendered a courtesy call on Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on February 24, 2023.
The two military leaders discussed the current and future joint Army-Navy operations and strengthening interoperability between the two major services, particularly in joint exercises such as the annual AFP Joint Exercise DAGIT-PA. Lt. Gen. Brawner also awarded the Combat Commander’s Kagitingan Badge (Major Service Commander Level-Honorary) to Vice Admiral Adaci in recognition of his combat accomplishments.
Vice Admiral Adaci, who hails from the province of Ifugao, is a member of the Philippine Military Academy “Makatao'' Class of 1989. He held key leadership posts prior to his assumption as Navy Chief such as Commander of the Naval Installation Command and Commander of the Fleet-Marine Ready Force, the Navy’s national maneuver force. Vice Admiral Adaci is also a lawyer, having finished his Law degree in 2000 and passed the Bar Exams in the same year.
