Defense Attaches of Myanmar to Philippines visit HPA

The Outgoing Defense Attaché of Myanmar to Philippines Brig. Gen. Aung Myo Aye and Incoming Defense Attaché Brig. Gen. Kyaw Lin Aung rendered a joint exit and introductory call to Army Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Potenciano C. Camba who represented Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr. at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on March 7, 2023.

Maj. Gen. Camba conveyed his gratitude to Brig. Gen. Aye for his fruitful service and successful plans as Defense Attaché of Myanmar to the Philippines. He also extended his warm felicitations to Brig. Gen. Aung for his new post and vowed to cooperate with the attaché regarding future cooperation with Myanmar Army.

The Philippines and Myanmar formally entered diplomatic relations on September 29, 1956 when both countries exchanged diplomatic missions. The courtesy call gave an opportunity for both Armies to talk more about defense cooperation and opportunities for expanded military engagements between Philippines and Myanmar.
