SFR(A) produces more Military Free Fall-qualified troops

The Special Forces Regiment (Airborne) (SFR[A]) produced 34 Military Free Fall-qualified troops during the MFF Course Class 30-2022 closing ceremony at the regiment’s headquarters in Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija on March 9, 2023.

A total of 34 students completed the four-week Military Free Fall course which is divided into four modules: Ground Training Phase, Military Free Fall Operations, Novice Free-Fall/Qualifying Jump, and Non-academic Module. Military Free Fall is a distinct form of tactical parachuting used by the elite forces of the Philippine Army which gives the jumper the freedom to manually deploy the parachute at a specific altitude after a period of free fall.

Police Maj. Gen. Mario A. Reyes, Director for Police Communication Relations, served as the closing ceremony’s guest of honor and speaker. In his remarks, Maj. Gen. Reyes emphasized the camaraderie and partnership of the military and policemen in pursuit of a common goal which is to serve and protect the people. He also congratulated the dedicated students for their willingness to undergo such rigid training to improve themselves.” The more we train, the more discipline we still have in ourselves,” he remarked.

The training course supports the thrust of Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., to enhance the individual skills of soldiers and unit capabilities.
