Army holds health and wellness caravan

Army soldiers and civilian personnel received free medical and dental services in a comprehensive health service and wellness exposition organized by the Philippine Army to mark the organization’s 126th founding anniversary at the Headquarters Philippine Army Grandstand, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on March 10, 2023.
 
Recipient soldiers and civilian human resource underwent free eye tests as well as blood sugar, blood pressure, and heart rate checks. Army General Hospital offered free psychological and mental well-being seminars to attendees while stakeholders offered a sampling of various affordable health products and services.
 
The Office of the Army Chief Surgeon, the Office of the Army Chief Nurse, and the Office of the Army Chief Dental Surgeon also showcased the Army’s latest health assets such as the truck-mounted forward treatment unit (FTU) that can be used by Army doctors to perform surgeries on the field, mobile field hospital, and the mobile dental care bus. Also featured in the exposition are the individual first aid kit, combat life-saver kit, and the combat medic aidman kit used by operating troops on the battlefield.
 
”The Philippine Army Health Service and Wellness Expo Program highlights the need to take care of our soldiers as they continue to perform their duties and responsibilities. With this, we respond and provide the necessary steps and procedures to facilitate greater awareness in ensuring that both the physical and mental health of our soldiers and their loved ones are well taken care of,” Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group Commander Brig. Gen. Moises M. Nayve, Jr., said in a speech on behalf of Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr.
