The Philippine Army held a Technology Day with the theme “Embracing Technology for a Strong, United and Reliable Philippine Army” at the Philippine Army Officers' Clubhouse (PAOC), Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on March 13, 2023.
The Technology Day featured booths from Information and Communication Technology (ICT) stakeholder companies that showcased the latest information and communication technologies that have military applications. The exhibit kept Army officers and personnel abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends and also contribute to strengthening the organization's cybersecurity posture.
The command also set up a Command and Control Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance (C4ISTAR) Exhibit at the Philippine Army Officers’ Clubhouse Pavilion to demonstrate the Army’s current C4ISTAR capabilities. The activity is part of a series of events to celebrate the Philippine Army’s 126th founding anniversary.
”If we want to be strong, we have to continually and gradually incorporate our military initiatives in cyberspace and adopt information and communication technology in all aspects of our day-to-day activities,” Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., said in his keynote remarks. “In our efforts to stay united, we must endeavor to keep abreast with the current technology trends for us to develop the capabilities needed to be prepared for these modern battlefields,” the Army Chief concluded.
