The Philippine Army held a simultaneous handover of anniversary packages to Army units in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao with Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., spearheading the activity at the 503rd Infantry Brigade’s headquarters in Tabuk, Kalinga on March 14, 2023.
Lt. Gen. Brawner, Jr., led the distribution of anniversary packages to 503rd Infantry Brigade troopers in Tabuk, Kalinga; Army Vice Commander Brig. Gen. Steve D. Crespillo at the 1st Infantry Division headquarters in Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur; and Army Inspector General Brig. Gen. Rommel K. Tello, who represented Army Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Potenciano C. Camba, at the headquarters of the 803rd Infantry Brigade in Catarman, Northern Samar. Philippine Army Major Unit (PAMU) commanders represented the CGPA in handing over the anniversary packages to soldiers as well as CAFGU Active Auxiliary (CAA) units.
The anniversary package handover is among the series of activities that are part of the Philippine Army's 126th Founding Anniversary Celebration with the theme "Philippine Army@126: Strong, United, and Reliable." The package includes the following: food items, Individual Clothing and Individual Equipment (ICIE), cot beds and mattresses, laptops and ICT equipment, and books and publications.
“Ang inyong inilaan na sakripisyo ay tunay na walang katulad at hindi mapaparisan. Ang aming mga naipamigay at naihandog na anniversary packages para sa inyo ay paraan ng pagpapaabot namin ng taos-pusong pasasalamat sa inyong serbisyo para sa ating bayan bilang hukbong maaasahan,” Lt. Gen. Brawner said in his remarks which was live-streamed to all PAMUs nationwide.
