A total of 28 personnel of the 10th Field Artillery “Rolling Thunder” Battalion (SP-155) have successfully passed the Individual Certification Program held at Camp Lucero, Carmen, Cotabato, the Army Artillery Regiment (AAR) announced on March 14, 2022.
AAR’s Certification Program aims to bolster competency of field artillery personnel in fulfillment of their respective designations. It can recalled that the 10FAB, which was activated June last year, serves as the mother unit of the 12 155mm Self-Propelled Howitzers (ATMOS 2000), the biggest and state-of-the-art artillery howitzers in the Philippine Army’s present arsenal. Since its activation last year, the unit constantly strives for excellence through various trainings and the conduct of the recent Certification Program. 10FAB will conduct Unit Certification in the future to strengthen its firing units in performing artillery operations.
AAR’s series of unit and individual training programs support the thrust of Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., to enhance the individual skills of soldiers and unit competencies.
