The Operations Research Center (ORC), Philippine Army highlighted its significant role in decision-making by introducing its research products during the Senior Leaders’ Conference (SLC) at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on March 16, 2023.
According to ORC, the operations research in the Philippine Army will likely be shaped by technological advances and the changing nature of military operations in the near future. Some potential areas of growth for operations research would be artificial intelligence and machine learning; big data analytics; network analysis; and cybersecurity, which will provide better decision-making support, enhance operations, and achieve its goals.
The PA Operations Research (OR) Products booth also amplifies Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr.’s guidance, “to concretize our Research Agenda and synchronize our efforts in all our research activities and to showcase the non-traditional role of Army in nation-building.”
