The Philippine Army raises the national flag in commemoration of its 126th Founding Anniversary on March 22, 2023 at the Headquarters Philippine Army Flagpole, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.
Army personnel joined the Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. as they start the anniversary celebration through a Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony and Reaffirmation of the Oath of Allegiance.
Lt. Gen. Brawner extended his greetings to the attendees of the activity and commended their efforts to contribute to the Army’s operational gains for the past year. He also reminded all Army personnel to live and serve by the Army’s core values and core purpose of serving the people and securing the land.
“As we commemorate our 126th Founding Anniversary, we continue to build on the exemplary legacy of our country’s forefathers and sustain our distinct hallmark of service excellence as servant-soldiers of the Filipino people. Together, ingrained in our principle of servant-leadership and instilled with our command thrusts as enshrined in the acronym S.E.R.V.E., we shall confront challenges head-on, single-minded, and unwavering. All in the name of attaining our shared desire of lasting peace and inclusive progress for our country,” said Lt. Gen. Brawner in his remarks.
