The Philippine Army launched its “Reading List for Tactical Leaders, Commanders, and Staff” which aims to equip and nourish the critical thinking and reading culture within the organization during the Philippine Army’s 126th Founding Anniversary Celebration at the Philippine Army Grandstand, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on March 22, 2023.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., presented the reading list to President and Commander in Chief Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., during the anniversary program. The said reading list is a collection of books containing practical guides; enemy Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs); best practices and lessons learned; as well as leadership insights and wisdom that will prepare Philippine Army leaders in accomplishing the mission to support the AFP’s Campaign Plan.
“The Command has always put premium on the education and training of personnel, which are keys to professionalism, force motivation, and preparedness,” Lt. Gen. Brawner said about the “Reading List.”
