The Philippine Army’s Athletics team clinched podium finishes in the Open/Elite categories of the International Container Terminal Services Incorporated (ICTSI) - sponsored Philippine Athletic Championships at the Ilagan City Sports Complex in Isabela on March 23, 2023.
Corporal Richard SL Salaño clinched the silver medal in the 10,000-meter run category while Corporal Ailene O. Tolentino bagged the bronze medal in the distaff side. Meanwhile, Staff Sergeant Larry B. Andaya also snagged the bronze medal in the 5,000-meter men’s walk category.
On the team events, Sergeant Aris O. Africa, Sergeant Racel S. Pardillo, Private Marylyn A. Avila, and Private Jelly Dianne C. Paragile finished at third spot in the 4x400m mixed relay race.
More than 1,000 local and foreign runners from various Southeast Asian countries are competing in the said tourney which will culminate on March 26, 2023.
