The Philippine Army signed a Memorandum of Partnership Agreement with the Sinagtala Foundation for peace and development, gender equality, and women empowerment at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on April 14, 2023.
The agreement gears toward providing appropriate support and security assistance during the implementation of its projects through the provision of socio-economic activities for women and children primarily in the areas of Mindanao and other parts of the country.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr., shared his appreciation to the Sinagtala Foundation and its president, Mr. Reuben James Barrete and co-founder, Ms. Jamela Aisha Alindogan, for their trust and confidence in the Philippine Army towards attainment of national government goals of poverty reduction, sustainable peace and security, and for social and economic development.
“As organizations committed to improving the lives of our kababayans, we become more empowered to achieve our common goal with this partnership. I hope that we remain resolute to bring sparks of hope to communities and help uplift the lives of Filipinos especially the internally displaced ones. With that, we assure that the Philippine Army will support your endeavors. Let this partnership be a testament to future generations that unity can help us attain our goals,” the Army chief said.
