Army designates acting IMCOM Commander

The Philippine Army designated Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group (HHSG) Commander Brig. Gen. Moises N. Nayve as the acting commander of the Installation Management Command (IMCOM) in a Change of Command and Retirement Ceremony on April 20, 2023 at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.
 
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., presided over the ceremony where outgoing IMCOM chief Brig. Gen. George Joel N. Lalaquil relinquished his post to acting IMCOM chief Brig. Gen. Nayve.
 
Brig. Gen. Nayve held diverse military positions such as the Chief of the Office of the Army Adjutant; Commandant of the Special Forces School, Special Forces Regiment (Airborne); Commander of the 4th Special Forces Battalion, SFR(A); Chief of Academy Staff of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA); Deputy Commander of SFR(A) and Deputy Brigade Commander of the 902nd Infantry Brigade, 9th Infantry Division. He holds a Master's in Public Management from the Development Academy of the Philippines and a Master's in Defense Analysis from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School. He belongs to PMA "Sambisig" Class of 1991.
 
Meanwhile, outgoing IMCOM chief Brig. Gen. Lalaquil, whose military service spanned 38 years, led the General Headquarters and Headquarters Service Command, Armed Forces of the Philippines from December 2020 to April 2022. He also held key positions such as Commander of Task Force Davao,10th Infantry Division; and as Chief of Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations of the 3rd Infantry Division (3ID) and Commanding Officer of the 82nd Infantry Battalion, 3ID. Brig. Gen. Lalaquil is a member of PMA “Makatao” Class of 1989. He holds a Masters in Public Administration degree from the University of Mindanao.
 
Lt. Gen. Brawner, in his keynote speech, lauded Brig. Gen. Lalaquil for steering IMCOM, the Army unit tasked to supervise the development and protection of the Army's military camps and reservations across the country. The Army Chief also expressed confidence that newly designated acting IMCOM chief Brig. Gen. Nayve will continue the sterling leadership legacy of the command.
 
"To Brig. Gen. Nayve, be assured of the full support of the Headquarters Philippine Army as you lead and contribute to the attainment of our organizational vision," Lt. Gen. Brawner remarked. "To Brig. Gen. Lalaquil, keep in mind that your legacies in your former units and offices will forever be remembered," the Army Chief added.
