Soldiers and their families were treated to a medley of performances from the best and upcoming Original Pilipino Music (OPM) artists in the first ‘Konsyerto sa Palasyo: Awit ng Magiting’ at the Malacañang Palace Grounds in the City of Manila on April 22, 2023.
The roster of OPM performers, which included balladeer and Army reservist 1st Lt. Ronnie R. Liang, showcased world-class Filipino musicianship and talent as they serenaded the soldiers and their families. The concert is a personal initiative of President and Commander-in-Chief Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., led the Philippine Army delegation that attended the evening concert at the Malacañang Palace Grounds.
The ‘Konsyerto sa Palasyo: Awit ng Magiting’ paid tribute to the soldier’s sacrifice and heroism in maintaining the nation’s sovereignty, peace and security. The ‘Konsyerto sa Palasyo: Awit ng Magiting’ is the first in a series of concerts that will be held throughout the year at the Malacañang Palace Grounds.
