Candidate Soldier Class 759-2023 opens in TRADOC

Around 370 special enlistees from various professions took their oath during the Opening Ceremony of the Candidate Soldier Course Class 759-2023 at the Makabulos Grandstand, Camp O’Donnell, Training and Doctrine Command, Capas, Tarlac on April 24, 2023.
 
Vice Commander Philippine Army (VCPA) Maj. Gen. Steve D. Crespillo, who served as the ceremony’s guest of honor and speaker, said that the trainees will learn the basics of soldiery, military rules and regulations, moral and ethical values, drills and ceremonies, and battle drills during training. Training models and tactical officers will also help them hone their marksmanship skills, build camaraderie, instill discipline, and foster patriotism.
 
“Your training will enrich your mental and physical ability, and reinforce your commitment to performing your task in accordance with the norms of the service,” the VCPA remarked.
 
“Your cooperation with your classmates is necessary because you will work with them through the duration of your training. Use your backgrounds and expertise to help your classmates as these are important to attain individual and collective objectives,” Maj. Gen. Crespillo said.
