The Philippine Army hosted an Information Program Visit for the Sergeant Major Course (SMC) Class 10-2023 to acquaint the students with the Army’s current thrusts and programs on April 25, 2023 at the Headquarters Philippine Army (HPA), Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.
Thirty-three Sergeant Majors together with 12 accompanying staff, visited the HPA to learn about the command’s present policies and projects which would help in the development of the Philippine Army. The whole class also visited the PA Museum to enhance their knowledge of the galleries of uniforms, weapons, colors, and displays of the Philippine Army campaigns even the significant accomplishments during the Battle of Marawi.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. served as the speaker of the event who emphasized the important role of Sergeant Majors in the organization, especially the one who advises and influences the decision-making of the enlisted personnel and effectively performs as a vital link between officers and NCOs.
