The Philippine Army and U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC) conducted the first phase of the Logistics Subject Matter Expert Exchange (LOGSMEE) for this year at Camp General Servillano Aquino, Tarlac City from April 24 to April 27, 2023.
The bilateral activity is geared at enhancing interoperability between PA and USARPAC in logistics operations; sharing best practices on logistics operations in support of combined arms operations; and sustaining strong relations among logisticians of both armies.
The Army Support Command, Philippine Army hosted the LOGSMEE’s first phase while the USARPAC's 593rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command will host the LOGSMEE’S second phase at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), Washington State, U.S.A. from August to September 2023.
Logistics officers from both armies conducted the Combined Staff Tabletop Exercise that focused on sustainment planning and concept development in support of island-to-island operations. They also discussed the establishment of Brigade Support Areas, Division Support Areas, and Logistics Support Areas; storage and support concept; general supply and field service operations; and field feeding services and operations.
