Army Chief inaugurates Army Artillery Regiment Roadnet and Artillery Spares Warehouse

Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. inaugurated the Army Artillery Regiment (AAR) Roadnet and Artillery Spares Warehouse—two critical infrastructure projects at the “King of Battle” headquarters in Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija on May 2, 2023.

The AAR Roadnet is a joint project of the Department of National Defense (DND) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) under the DND-DPWH Convergence Program known as the Tatag ng Imprastruktura Para sa Kapayapaan at Seguridad (TIKAS). The project serves as a Physical Readiness Training Route that will benefit the men and women of AAR in meeting their daily tasks and mission.

Meanwhile, the Artillery Spares Warehouse, which is also under the TIKAS Program, serves as a depot and general support maintenance facility of artillery armament. It will also be used as a mobility platform to ensure and sustain the serviceability of artillery assets.

Lt. Gen. Brawner, during the command conference with the AAR top brass, said that the new facilities will bolster the capabilities of AAR, one of the units at the forefront of Army modernization. The Army Chief added that the new facilities will help the Army’s field artillery personnel in carrying out their unit and individual missions with excellence.
