Army Signal Regiment holds ICT Stakeholders Fair

The Army Signal Regiment (ASR) held an Information Communications Technology (ICT) Stakeholders Fair that showcased latest ICT products and services that can be utilized by Philippine Army personnel at the Headquarters Philippine Army Grandstand, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on May 5, 2023.
 
“Recognizing the rapid technological evolutions as well as industry and market trends in the ICT sector, the ASR initiated some of its several projects with the assistance of our stakeholders. We have gradually integrated ICT components in our development and operation strategies.” ASR Commander Brig. Gen. Alejandro J. Papa said in his keynote speech.
 
“As the use of information and communication technologies has increased exponentially in the Philippine Army, the ASR as the Command and Control Communications, and Cyber Support (C4S) support provider, is always in pursuit to enhance its capabilities to meet the demands of the Higher Headquarters. We do this by exploring new technologies and sensibly implementing them, by supporting the training of our troops in this discipline, and by encouraging partnerships with our stakeholders and the public sector,” Brig. Gen. Papa remarked.
 
The ASR commander also highlighted stakeholders’ contributions in the development of Philippine Army information systems and expansion of ICT support services for remote Army patrol bases and detachments. he annual ICT Stakeholders' Fair is part of the lineup of activities to mark the regiment’s 12th founding anniversary this month.
