Army Chief inaugurates newly refurbished facilities, unveils new road project in 1ID

Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. inaugurated newly rehabilitated facilities and led the groundbreaking rites for a new road network at the 1st Infantry "Tabak" Division (1ID) headquarters in Kuta Major Cesar L. Sang-an, Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur on May 5, 2023.
 
Lt. Gen. Brawner, who was joined by the Tabak Division leadership led by 1ID Commander Maj. Gen. Antonio G. Nafarrete, led the unveiling of markers for the newly rehabilitated Tabak Division Administration Building, Santo Niño de Tabak Chapel, and the Division Conference Room.
 
The Army Chief also led the groundbreaking ceremony for the 670-meter road that will link the 1ID Training School to the Tabak Integrated Firing Range. The said road project is a partnership of 1ID and the Zamboanga del Sur provincial government.
 
The unveiling of the newly refurbished facilities and the construction of a new road project are part of the Tabak Division's 87th Founding Anniversary Celebration anchored on the theme "Tabak@87: Marching Towards a Stronger, United, and Dependable Army." The Army Chief said the newly refurbished facilities will provide conducive working spaces and bolster the productivity of Tabak troopers.
