Tabak Division awards outstanding personnel, stakeholders on 87th Founding Anniversary Celebration

The 1st Infantry “Tabak” Division recognized outstanding personnel and stakeholders during the unit’s 87th Founding Anniversary Celebration in Kuta Major Cesar L. Sang-an, Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur on May 5, 2023.
 
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. conferred the “Pagkakaisa” Army Stakeholder Award to Zamboanga del Sur Gov. Victor J. Yu. The said award is accorded by the Philippine Army to individuals and partner organizations that have contributed significantly to its organizational and capability programs.
 
Lt. Gen. Brawner also awarded the Gold Cross Medals to 1st Lieutenant Aurello S. Sarandonia of the 55th Infantry Battalion, 1ID and Cpl. Edmar D. Almaden of the 51st Infantry Battalion, 1ID. The Army Chief likewise awarded Silver Cross Medals and Meritorious Achievement Medals to outstanding Tabak officers and men and Plaques of Recognition to the division's exemplary line units.
 
Meanwhile, Misamis Occidental Governor Henry S. Oaminal; Zamboanga Sibugay Rep. Antonieta R. Eudela; Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur Mayor Eduardo S. Relacion; Lanao del Sur Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Ms. Mariam B. Casim; Office of the Presidential Adviser for Religious Affairs Region IX Director Pastor Mark Francis A. Dimerin; Nagdilaab Foundation Inc. Executive Director Ms. Miriam L. Suacito; National Freedom of Peace Movement President Mr. Dante B. Labunog; Mindanao State University’s Institute for Peace and Development in Mindanao Director Dr. Mark Anthony J. Torrres; and Friends Radio Station Manager Ms. Johanna Marie G. Nueva received the Gawad sa Kaunlaran during the ceremony.
 
 
 
The awarding ceremony was among the highlights of the division’s anniversary anchored on theme "Tabak@87: Marching Towards a Stronger, United, and Dependable Army”.
