Candidate soldiers commenced their military journey during the Opening Ceremony of the Candidate Soldier Course Classes 762 and 763-2023 at the 7th Infantry Division Grandstand, Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija on May 12, 2023.
Vice Commander Philippine Army (VCPA) Maj. Gen. Steve D. Crespillo, who served as the ceremony’s guest of honor and speaker, called on the candidate soldiers to be the best version of themselves as they progress in the six-month Candidate Soldier Course cross-trained with Infantry Orientation Course.
“Your oath today as a member of the Philippine Army symbolizes your oath of loyalty to our country and our fellow Filipinos,” the VCPA remarked.
“The leadership of the Philippine Army assures that your training staff will be fair and honest and will provide you with proper guidance to the best of their capacity,” Maj. Gen. Crespillo told the new trainees, emphasizing that the 7th Infantry Division Training School will mold them to become competent, confident, and capable soldiers.
