Army leadership fetes PMA Madasigon Class of 2023

The Philippine Army leadership feted members of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Mandirigmang may Dangal Simbolo ng Galing at Pagbangon (Madasigon) Class of 2023 who will be joining the Philippine Army in reception dinner at the Igorot Hall of the Trade and Cultural Center, Camp John Hay, Baguio City on May 13, 2023.
 
The Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr.; Vice Commander, Philippine Army Maj. Gen. Steve D. Crespillo; and Chief of Staff, Philippine Army (CSPA) Maj. Gen. Potenciano C. Camba led the reception dinner for graduating cadets of the country’s premier military academy.
 
CGPA, in his keynote remarks, congratulated the graduating cadets for joining the Philippine Army—the biggest and oldest Armed Forces of the Philippines service branch.
 
Lt. Gen. Brawner called on the graduating cadets to eradicate illegal drugs, emphasizing that the organization has zero tolerance for illegal drug use. Moreover, the Army Chief called on the Army’s upcoming platoon leaders to prioritize the mental health and well-being of their troops and not to tolerate any incident of hazing.
 
The CGPA also spearheaded the ceremonial handover of Individual Clothing And Individual Equipment (ICIE), 9mm pistols, and pay and allowances to members of the PMA Madasigon Class of 2023. It can be noted that out of the 311 graduating cadets, 158 will be joining the Philippine Army, 65 will be joining the Philippine Air Force, and 77 will be joining the Philippine Navy.
