142 Candidate Soldiers begin military journey at Agila Division

A total of 142 candidate soldiers began their military journey during the opening ceremony of Candidate Soldier Couse Class 766-2023 at the 10th Infantry “Agila” Division’s (10ID) headquarters in Camp Manuel Yan Sr., Mawab, Davao de Oro on May 24, 2023.
 
The 142 trainees will undergo 16 weeks of Basic Military Training and seven weeks of specialization courses at the 10th Division Training School. The class is also composed of 124 males while 16 are females.
 
10ID Assistant Division Commander Brig. Gen. Allan D. Hambala, who served as the ceremony’s guest of honor and speaker, said that pre-entry training will equip aspiring soldiers with knowledge, skills, and the right attitude to perform any mandated tasks in harsh environments.
 
“Your six-month training is designed and programmed to test your spirit mentally, physically, and emotionally. Remember, the discipline you cultivate here will shape you not only in your military career but also in your personal life as a strong model and a citizen of our country,” Brig. Gen. Hambala remarked.
