The Philippine Army through the Office of the Army Sergeant Major (OASM), conducted troop information and education (TI&E) for the empowerment of Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) on June 13, 2023 at Headquarters Philippine Army Grandstand, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
Different senior enlisted leaders participate in the forum to talk about the professionalization of the Army NCOs which is one of the priority thrusts of the Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. According to Army Sergeant Major Chief Master Sergeant Rogelio P. Caacbay, the NCO corps is the true backbone of the Philippine Army which must be fully utilized to have a more participative role in managing the affairs of the organization.
Moreover, the dialogue also highlighted the responsibilities of NCOs in various offices which is to be more effective and efficient in handling the day-to-day affairs of their respective units to develop capability and accomplish the mission under their leadership.
