FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City - Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. visited the upcoming agri-reforestation project site at Camp O'Donnell, Capas, Tarlac on June 16, 2023.
In response to President and Commander-in-Chief Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s call for food sustainability, the Armor Division and its stakeholders will inaugurate in July the 'Water is Life' Agri-Reforestation Project to provide food for soldiers and the locals. The 7-hectare expanse is a former 'Hardin ng Lunas' site which was also a garden for planting organic vegetables and fruit-bearing trees.
Moreover, the Army chief conveyed his full support to the project which will contribute significantly to the environment and encourage greater biodiversity around the camp, reaping good benefits to the troops and the community.
