The Army Artillery Regiment (AAR), Philippine Army concluded its 12th Field Artillery (FA) Howitzer Platoon Challenge on June 24, 2023, at AAR Headquarters, Fort Magsaysay, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija.
The FA Howitzer Platoon Challenge, which started on June 10, 2023, was one of the highlights of the month-long series of activities to commemorate the 125th Philippine Artillery Founding Anniversary. 11 howitzer platoons performed a series of challenges, including Land Navigation, Obstacle Course and FA Gunnery Drills which tested their proficiency in operating the howitzers and executing different missions properly.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. commended the Army Artillery Regiment for honing the skills and maintaining a high level of readiness among its personnel that will significantly be useful in times of complex and dynamic situations.
