The Philippine Army won as the overall Champion during the 5th leg of the Philippine Coast Guard-hosted Games of the Generals at the Magpantay Firing Range, Brgy. Bulihan, Malvar Batangas on June 26, 2023.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. led Team Army 2, which emerged as the Champion. They dominated Stages 1 and 3 (out of 3 courses of fires). On the other hand, Army Vice Commander Maj Gen Steve D Crespillo led Team Army 1, which settled in the 1st runner-up position on stage 2.
The game participants are from the General Headquarters, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Army, Philippine Air Force, Philippine Navy, Philippine National Police, and Philippine Coast Guard.
The Army chief placed significant emphasis on the objectives of the Games of the Generals, which extend beyond the mere display of shooting skills. The primary goal is to showcase not only the proficiency in pistol shooting but also the embodiment of sportsmanship and the fostering of camaraderie among military leaders and various law enforcement agencies.
