The Army Artillery “King of Battle” Regiment (AAR) celebrated the 125th Philippine Artillery anniversary in a ceremony with Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner as Guest Honor and Speaker at Fort Magsaysay, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija on June 27, 2023.
The anniversary celebration is anchored on the theme “Ang Inyong Makabagong Artilyero: Matatag, Nagkakaisa at Maaasahan” as the regiment continues its modernization journey. The AAR highlighted their efforts in adopting new tactics, techniques, and procedures to defeat the remaining local armed groups. “It has been the backbone of the Philippine Army’s continuing success in promoting peace and progress nationwide. Known for its lethal cannon fires, the accomplishments of the cannoneers throughout the years have paved the way for them to be feared by the enemies,” Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner said in his speech.
The Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. also assured that the headquarters Philippine Army would continue to support the regiment, “As one Team Army, together with our peace and nation-building partners, we shall defeat the remaining adversaries of the state and emerge victorious in our battles as we fulfill our core purpose of serving the people and securing the land,” he remarked.
