The Philippine Army, through the Office of the Army Sergeant Major (OASM), kicked off the two-day Enlisted Women Forum 2023 with the theme “Empowering Female Soldiers towards Gender Equality” at Philippine Army Officers Clubhouse, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on June 29, 2023.
Army Vice Commander Maj. Gen. Steve D. Crispillo served as the guest of honor and speaker during the opening of the two-day forum. The said activity, scheduled from June 29 to June 30, 2023, is a continuing effort of the Philippine Army to enhance individual soldiers’ competencies, promote gender equality, and advocate for the Army Comprehensive Mental Health Program. The facilitator will conduct the activity in a hybrid set-up through video-teleconferencing and face-to-face with motivational and inspirational talks and counselling programs from resource persons invited locally and abroad.
The Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. expressed his support for the promotion of gender equality and recognized the valuable contributions of Army women in the military as they perform significant roles in accomplishing the mission.
