The Joint Commander of the Asia-Pacific and the Armed Forces in French Polynesia, Rear Admiral Geoffroy d’Andigné rendered a courtesy call on Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on June 29, 2023.
Admiral d’Andigné, during the courtesy call, discussed topics on the strategic environment in the Pacific and the commitments of the French Armed Forces in the region. The two Army Chiefs agreed to explore participation in army exercises focused on jungle and mountain operations and peacekeeping operations initially as observers.
The Army Commanding General appreciated Admiral d’Andigné’s visit, which marked another milestone in the long partnership between the Philippines and France, particularly in defense matters.
