Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. expressed his steadfast confidence in the future leaders of the Philippine Army during the presentation of the top 10 performing members of the Officers Candidate Course "GAIGMAT" Class 58-2023 to the media at Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on July 5, 2023.
The Army's presentation of the top 10 graduating officer candidates is one of the slated activities of the command until their scheduled graduation on July 7, 2023, with President and Armed Forces of the Philippines Commander-in-Chief Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. The activity aims to showcase the program of the Philippine Army that produces an officer with a strong character and a well-disciplined combat leader.
Lt. Gen. Brawner Jr. acknowledged and commended the achievements of the top 10 students and further emphasized his utmost confidence in the Army's future platoon leaders. "These cadets exhibit patriotism which they voluntarily offer in the spirit of service. I know they are willing to sacrifice their own lives to serve the country and the Filipino people," the Army Chief said.
