The Philippine Army, through the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Training and Education (OG8), held the fifth leg of the Philippine Army Education and Training Advocacy (PAETA) CY 2023 and Philippine Army Education and Training Deliberation (PAETD) CY 2024 with the Army Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Potenciano C. Camba at Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on July 19, 2023.
The event aims to disseminate new policies, directives, and training updates while identifying essential training needs of Philippine Army Major units (PAMUs). Moreover, the activity marked the official launch of the PA Education, Training, and Doctrine Strategic Plan 2024-2029, which will guide the organization in designing, implementing, and evaluating education, training, and doctrine development programs. The event attendees are the branch chiefs of the OG8, representatives from the PA General Staff, and representatives from the different PAMUs through video teleconference.
The Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. commended the OG8's efforts to enhance the Army's training programs to fulfill the soldiers' mission-essential tasks.
