Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila – A wreath-laying ceremony was held at the Korean War Momorial Pylon, Libingan ng mga Bayani on 08 May 2018 as part of the commemoration of 67th Anniversary of the Battle of Yuldong. The activity was attended by the Commanding General, Philippine Army, Lieutenant General Rolando Joselito D Bautista AFP being the Guest of Honor and Speaker with Korean Ambassador, His Excellency Han, Dong-Man.
PEFTOK veterans, descendants and officials from Korean Embassy were also present. The commemoration is being held to honor the heroism and sacrifices of Filipino soldiers who helped Korea in its war against the aggression of the communist North.
The Battle of Yuldong is considered as one of the most outstanding exploits of the Philippine Expeditionary Force to Korea (PEFTOK).#
