The Philippine Army (PA) leadership and PA Multisectoral Advisory Board (PA MSAB) members discussed the board’s transition into the PA Strategic Advisory Council that is envisioned to help the organization address evolving security threats during a meeting at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on August 23, 2024.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido and the PA MSAB members discussed the formation of the SAC which will focus on key reform areas that are essential for PA’s readiness and effectiveness in territorial defense.
The new council will replace the PA MSAB which was formed in 2011 and has served as a cornerstorne in the Army’s journey towards genuine reform and transformation. Through the years, the strong partnership between PA and MSAB have led to the successful implementation of critical programs and reforms within the Army.
Lt. Gen. Galido expressed confidence that the expertise and the strategic guidance that will be provided by the council members will further enhance the Army’s capability to address emerging threats and fast-changing security landscape.
