Philippine Army soldiers joined the opening of this year’s Philippine Uniformed Services Sports League on September 26, 2024 at Camp General Aguinaldo, Quezon City. The soldier-athletes will showcase their skills in various sports events until October 24.
During the first day of the month-long sports league, Team Army faced Team Air Force and snagged the Championship for the Women's tug-of-war.
The annual sports league features the sportsmanship and camaraderie of athletes from the Philippine Army, Philippine Navy, Philippine Air Force, Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Bureau of Fire Protection, and Bureau of Corrections.
The AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. graced the activity and encouraged the athletes to enjoy interacting with their counterparts from other agencies through sports. "As we play together, it will be easier for us to work together," said Gen. Brawner.
