PA-hosted interagency forum highlights cybersecurity

FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City – Cybersecurity experts of the Philippine Army and partner agencies highlighted the importance of establishing robust cybersecurity systems during the Inter-Agency Cybersecurity Awareness Forum held at the Philippine Army Officers Clubhouse, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on October 15, 2024.

“The conduct of this awareness activity demonstrated our willingness to gather new information related to cybersecurity, adopt best practices and develop a culture of vigilance. Moreover, this will ensure that our core strategies align seamlessly with the overarching goals not only of our Armed Forces but also the national government's plans and vision for Bagong Pilipinas," Army Chief Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido said in his remarks during the forum which was one of key activities held in observance of Cybersecurity Awareness Month.

The Army Chief likewise emphasized the importance of stronger collaboration and information-sharing among government agencies, the academe and cybersecurity experts to enhance the country’s cybersecurity posture and remain at the forefront of technological and cybersecurity defense. This year’s Cybersecurity Awareness Month is anchored on the theme “Securing Our World.
