FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – Seventeen soldier amputees each receive their prostheses procured through funds provided by the Office of the President on Friday, Mar. 28, 2019.

Ottobock Philippines Managing Director Peter Goldberg turned over the prostheses to the soldier amputees in a simple ceremony held at Joy Nostalg Hotel and Suites
Manila which was also attended by Lt. Gen. Macairog S. Alberto, the Army Commanding General.

The prosthetics company also provided therapy and rehabilitation sessions on the amputees prior to the fitting on them.

President Rodrigo Duterte, in his bid to uplift the morale of the soldiers, allotted funds from his office to procure the prostheses.

“In behalf of the recipients, we are truly grateful to the President for his concern to the troops. This will definitely boost the morale of our soldiers who have risked their lives fighting in the frontlines,” said Alberto.#
