FORT ANDRES BONIFACIO, Taguig City – The Philippine Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Macairog S. Alberto attended the tri-service Asian defense and security exhibition held in Bangkok, Thailand from November 17 to 21, 2019. The said event, known as Defense and Security 2019, is an international military and civil indoor/outdoor exhibition covering land, air and sea military equipment, defense technology and internal security. Among the technologies showcased in the exhibit are land, sea and air, and defense technology equipment and weapons systems, missiles, tank, guided weapons technology, and satellites. The 9th biennial edition of the show, this event was also seen as a venue where leaders in the field of defense and security can meet and exchange their views and insights about present and future of defense technologies and capabilities. Other high-ranking officials from the field of defense and security across the world were also present in the event.
“It is imperative that the Army stay informed and updated about the latest development in the technologies in defense and security so it could take necessary steps to be at par with its international counterparts,” said Alberto.#
