FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Gilbert I. Gapay visited the 53rd Engineer “Visayas Builders” Brigade on Tuesday, February 25, at Camp Lapulapu, Cebu City.

During the Talk to the Troops ceremony, Gapay reiterated to the brigade to continue pursuing the Army’s major thrusts in order to sustain the momentum in capacitating the Army towards greater mission effectiveness.

The CGPA also congratulated the brigade’s accomplishments in completing 92 projects in support to the national development program of the government as well as the base development projects of supported units. He also commended the creation of the Brigade Project Monitoring and Evaluation Team (BPMET) that addresses projects in need of special attention and implementation. Gapay also recalled the brigade’s successful operation last Sept. 27, 2019, wherein 53rd EBde’s Staff Sgt.
